Colorectal Surgery
Dr Steen performs both elective and emergency colorectal surgery for colon and rectal cancer, disease of the small bowel, diverticular, inflammatory and irritable bowel. He also specialises in the treatment of haemorrhoids and other anorectal conditions (proctology).
General Surgery
Dr Steen performs both elective and emergency general surgery for appendicitis, small and large bowel conditions, gallbladder pathology, abdominal wall hernias, and lesions of the skin and soft tissue.
Endoscopy
Dr Steen is a certified endoscopist who provides investigative and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy. This includes screening for bowel cancer (FOBT), removal of polyps, investigation of anaemia and bleeding, as well as the simultaneous treatment of haemorrhoids.
